What is a Creative Form?

A Creative Form is a martial arts routine designed by the competitor that simulates an imaginary fight against one or more opponents.

It combines traditional martial arts techniques with creativity, demonstrating strength, speed, control, and presentation.

Music

  • Creative Forms are performed without music.

  • For special divisions (musical forms), additional rules will be announced.

Age Categories

  • Children: 7–9 years

  • Younger Cadets: 10–12 years

  • Older Cadets: 13–15 years

  • Juniors: 16–18 years

  • Seniors: 19+

Age is determined by birth date, and athletes must compete in their proper category.

Divisions

  • Individual:

  • Creative Forms (empty hand)

  • Creative Weapons (with safe weapons)

  • Teams:

  • Creative Teams (2–3 members, Open Hand or Weapons)

Uniforms and Appearance

  • Traditional karate, taekwondo, or kickboxing uniforms are allowed, always clean and in good condition.

  • A belt is mandatory.

  • Jewlery, watches, or visible piercings are not allowed.

  • Headbands or wristbands are permitted.

  • Violations result in a 0.3-point deduction.

Weapons Usage

  • Only safe weapons in good condition are allowed.

  • The referee may inspect weapons before the performance.

  • Sharp or dangerous weapons are not allowed.

Allowed and Prohibited Techniques

  • Allowed: spins and tricks (e.g., butterfly kick, illusion kicks, spins up to 360°).

  • Prohibited:
    • Extreme gymnastics moves (somersaults, flips, aerials beyond 360°).

    • Non-martial techniques that do not represent combat.

    • One kip-up is allowed as an exception.

Team Competition

  • Teams of 2 to 3 members, mixed in age and gender.

  • Open Hand and Weapons can be combined.

  • Penalty: –1.0 point per judge for each weapon drop.

  • Third weapon drop = team disqualification.

Evaluation and Scoring

Judges evaluate based on:

  • Technique: correct execution of movements.

  • Precision: control, balance, and accuracy.

  • Creativity: innovation within the routine.

  • Showmanship: projection, energy, and presentation.

  • Weapon (when applicable): manipulation and control.

Penalties are applied for weapon drops, uniform violations, or prohibited techniques.
